Iron Creek Lodge is a favorite retreat, situated on a private half acre site in a secluded neighborhood. The warm interior has rustic log furniture and spacious cathedral ceilings. A large outdoor hot tub is located on the wrap-around deck. Horseback riding, jeep touring, hiking, visiting old gold and silver mines and boating at the Dillon Marina are other great summer activities. The nearby towns of Georgetown and Leadville are antique havens, or the drives through Hoosier, Boreas and Loveland Passes offer fabulous views. In the Fall, stick around to see the aspen change to gold.

National forest trails within walking distance offer easy access to thousands of acres of public land for hiking, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Snowmobiling is also available.
Summer in the Rockies is a hidden treasure. Whitewater rafting, paved bicycle trails, the shops at the Silverthorne Factory Outlet and a blue medal trout stream are literally just down the hill. More than a half dozen golf courses are within a 20 minute radius. Seven of Colorado's famous "Fourteeners" (peaks over 14,000 feet) are in the Summit County area.
